    Too young

I just read about an old hs classmate who died on Sept 4th. Apparently he had a massive heart attack at 46 years old....that's just too damned young. He's the 3rd I know of out of the class of 160 people. 2 heart attacks and 1 from cancer. I suspect there are others I don't know about.

    Sorry, modo.

Cancer and car wrecks have taken a few from my class as well.

    Sorry to hear that.

I'm about 15 years ahead of you and I got to tell you you never get used to it.

For me high school was the deadliest. In the late '60s and early '70s cars had big engines, drum brakes and sloppy ass suspensions. Seat belts were a novelty. Seems every weekend some kid would get drunk and run his GTO or Super Bee into a tree, killing or crippling those in the car with him.
You can further the brotherhood of man by eliminating class.
You can lift the wage earner up by equalizing earnings.
You can bring about prosperity by overturning the holders of power.
You can strengthen the weak by eating the the strong.
You can help the poor by destroying the rich.

........first high school classmate I remember losing was the guy who
flipped his car driving back from U Va to DC for the weekend.

My response would have been something along the lines of: "Does your bike have computer controlled suspension? Then shut your piehole, this baby is from the future!"

Most of the people I knew in high school are dead due to drug over dose or drug related violence. (which includes heart attacks)
You see, their morals, their code...it's a bad joke, dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down, these...These "civilized" people...they'll eat each other. See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve

Cancer, OD's and withdrawal have taken a few people from my graduating class, and I'm not even 30 yet. Recklessness kills people.
