What's the deal with all the repeats of Letterman?

Does he work two weeks and one week off? Crikey

Sounds about right.
Jimmy Fallon and Craig Ferguson are way funnier.

We don't get Fallon here on free-to-air, only Letterman, Fergusson and Conan

Craig has been the best out of all of them for years. Letterman just seems bored out of his mind.

Letterman deserves a break, dude has been doing this gig since the 80s. He needs to rerun the old shows with the velcro suit, the alka seltzer suit, the guy under the stairs, dropping stuff off a tall building, etc. He has not jumped the shark yet, but he is close. Young Letterman flirting with hot starlets was cool. Geriatric flirting Letterman is just creepy and off putting.

His ratings would spike if he'd drop delicious bass off random buildings.

I thought he was dead and they were using a robot. The robot is in turn down for maintenance regularly.

Letterman is tired, I agree. Not physically, but his jokes, his personality, his show.
Leno is a dick, and really **** that guy.
I thought Fallon would flop, but he's definitely made a way for himself and I'm really impressed with what he's done. I enjoy watching his show.
Craig is great too, but I feel like he's a lot more serious about interviews.
Conan always has been, and still is, my favorite. He's goofy and doofy, and it works because he's so ridiculous.
I also have a lot of respect for Jimmy Kimmel. I also thought he would flop, but like Fallon, the dude has really been awesome.

I think craig invites guests that he actually wants to talk to. many of them are friends and he actually cares what they say. He is also smart enough to step back from the comedy and have interviews that are serious like with Stephen Fry and Desmond Tutu

he is also a pretty impressive success story of someone who was really effed up and got himself sober.

thanks for the replies.

I'd rather see 3 new eps a week than every third week being a total repeat.
Eh, I'll get over it

The original, Jack Paar.

It's interesting that he really set the tone for all the shows that followed.

Letterman was funny back in the 80s, when he was on NBC. Today, he just sounds tired. Just sayin.

I think that Letterman knows it's just a matter of time, so he's milking it for what it's worth.
