Tom - hope you are checking in... I know you don't believe... but I am doing everything I can to pray you get well and are up and back at fishing soon. Regardless, you are always missed... you are that reasoned tempered voice that although half the time I don't understand what you are saying 'cause its way over my head, always knows the right thing to say...

Hurry back!

Just got off of the phone with Tom.

He's had a stroke and some paralysis on one side. His heart rate went from 180 to 32 but is now under 100. His mind is still sharp and he understands what I was saying to him, so that's fantastic.

He wanted me to tell you all hello.

Tom,

You can beat this thing too, just like everything else. Godspeed on your recovery and remember, those fish ain't gonna catch themselves.

Meeting any of the qualifications for foo worthiness makes you over qualified for foo. It is like military intelligence. Tom is way over qualified for foo, even when in hospital.

I called the hospital room. Please do not call or text the cell. He is going in and out of the room for testing and he needs his rest. We are limited to speaking to him to five minutes. If he feels somewhat able to, his computer will be brought to him.
