OK, I'm only on for a few minutes wth an update.

1) I definitely had a stroke, minor to moderate in scope. 80% loss of strength and function in the left led and ~65% loss in function and strength in the left arm. ait iswhat it is.....a new challenge set for me.

As to thhe heart side. A much more aggressive campaign id s under planning now. I do seem to at least have a talent for finding the best dos in the region, though.

Best hopes, prayers and wishes for you to get strong and out there doing what you like. I have high hopes of swapping stories around a campfire after a good day of riding!

Get well wishes to Tom Stormcrowe

There is a thread in Foo about Tom's latest medical challenges -- a stroke and what looks like the need for open heart surgery. This is what he posted in Foo:

Tom's a very fair-minded person and has done wonders to keep this site operational and balanced. I am sure most, if not all, on this sub-forum wish a fellow-50+er every positive outcome from his treatment.

Wow! Life can sure throw some nasty stuff at us at times. I wish you the best, Tom. Heal up good and come back and kick our 50+ butts when we need it.

You are a fellow sailor, here is a beautiful pic of Bora Bora I pinched from the web...Enjoy

Your perseverance continues to inspire me, Tom!

Given your downright bizarrely interesting past, I can hardly imagine what you'll be doing next, though I am sure it will as always be fun in spite of any challenges.

Left or Right centered Dvorak keyboard would help a lot.
