Whether you're a person of faith or not, this makes good sense:

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Respect, compassion, and empathy start this off. Selfishness would (ideally) die as a result.

Please note that my breath is not being held.........

I don't know what the world needs more of .... but I know the world needs less humans. 7 billion and still growing. They are the source of all pollution, global warming, disasters, wars, shooting, etc.

Oh brother! You just had to post something that would get this thread moved to P&R didn't you?

Are you going to volunteer you and your family for the first people to be eliminated fro the earth?

Yeah I really miss bakeries. The large grocery stores have really decimated them and the big grocery stores don't offer near what those small bakeries used to. I Italy they have special bakeries for each type of baked goods. So you would have a bakery for breads and then another for pastry for example. You might even have one that just deals in cakes.

Bakeries and other small businesses that you can walk to. Slow things down and take life at a more relaxed and enjoyable pace.

The world needs more incredibly beautiful women who are powerfully attracted to nerdy guys who are good
at math and science. This was even addressed in an old Dilbert strip, when Dilbert accidentally learned that
the nerds at NASA were keeping all such women hidden on the moon.

There is no need to go for links to fancy statistics. Here are some facts :

Guns don't kill people. People kill people. - You have heard this many times. Just ask those who lost a loved one when some HUMAN goes on a shooting rampage.

Humans create internal combustion engines, the engines of car, trucks, planes, boats, etc. Everyday the billions of vehicles produce noxious gasses from the exhaust pipes. Just go to any city that is choked with cars. The air smells nasty.

Humans level the forests to build cities and cut down trees for the raw materials. They are responsible for deforestation and it has been proven that deforestation have been responsible for floods to low lying areas. Trees that provide Oxygen through photo-synthesis, so if we continue to cut down trees at an increasing rate, there will come a time when there is not enough trees to regenerate oxygen and the air becomes too polluted to sustain life. Deforestation also encroaches on the natural habitats of other animals. Some of these animals are driven to extinction due to HUMAN activities.

Humans need oil for their vehicles. Oil can remain underground for millions of years, but when they start pumping it out and transporting it around, accidents can happen. Oil slicks and coastal oil pollution have caused the deaths of marine life.

Humans create plastics, which is not bio-degradeable. Bottles, food and drink packages, product packings clog the landfill. And to get rid of these through incineration creates air pollution.

Humans are the only animal that produce more than they can comsume, and those food that are not eaten, have expiry dates and have to be thrown away. Everyday food vendors cook more that they can sell, and those unsold food have to be thrown out. This creates waste and clog up our landfill. Animals only kill and eat for their survival. There is minimal waste.

Humans are the ones who created nuclear power stations and when things go wrong like Chernobyl and Fukushima. it is the environment that suffers. Radioactive leaks can cause health problems for those who are exposed and may get onto the food chain and cause health problems for those who consume these.

So the fact is that Humans are responsible for many of the things that go wrong in this world. So the greater the number of humans, the greater will be the impact on this planet.

You just insist on sending this thread to P&R don't you? Keep your political crap out of it.

And as I said before if you think there should be less humans then volunteer yourself and your family to be eliminated. Something tells me you won't rather you will chose to be one of those that decides who else should be eliminated.

There should be more sunsets like the one this morning. I drive east on the way to work. The sun reflecting off of the clouds was glorious.
