I'd have to give it to "A Day in the Life" by the Beatles; honorable mentions to "Outside the Wall" by Pink Floyd, and "Mercedes Benz" by Janis Joplin. I'm sure I neglected a few good ones, too, but Bowie would probably be in the top ten, there.

Actually, that can be forgiven. How and why? Because of that one scene that most of us "males of a certain age"
remember so well: Rubin, the group's manager, tries to get the group to update their on-state costumes, and selects
hot pants for the girls. Shirley Jones, in her prime, in hot pants and boots. Man, on many levels, the 70s were great.

My favorite Rush song and the 1st with Neil Peart. I can't believe Volkswagon used it in a commercial, and Working Man was used by Wal-Mart in their "Made in America" campaign. Kind of ironic since Rush is Canadian Wal-Mart took some heat for that. I don't consider it a sell out, bands aren't making money selling CD's anymore, so a lot of brand new artists and songs are popping up in commercials these days. Big Data's Dangerous is in a Taco Bell commercial.

Double bass, double guitar and drums galore .... a lot of sound coming from just 3 guys ! I wish I could say I've seen them live but they're a group I've never seen but always liked.

Here's that Wal-Mart 1:00 minute Working Man spot about bringing jobs back to America if you haven't seen it.

If you recognize this tune, you'll turn up the bass before starting it so you get its full iconic bass line. From 1971:
    Are we having fun yet?

Good song ! I didn't know that was by Nilsson, pretty rockin for him....a way talented guy. Any of your guys from Boston probably know the Standells song Dirty Water, that's been covered by every beantown band from Aerosmith to the Dropkick Murphys. Here's a British version using the river Thames instead of Charles by the Inmates. Doesn't this singer sound like Mick

Despite being a Partridge Family fan back in the day, I had never seen that episode.
