Other than cycling - What are your other hobbies/interests/passions?

For me it used to be firearm collecting. I pretty much haven't touched a gun from within my safe in years.

Attempting to re-kindle my passion for R/C flying that I once had. Also considering doing a classic car/truck restoration to gift my daughter once she's old enough to drive.

Well, what are your other hobbies?

I used to be into paper airplanes. I came in third in world competition with a design I invented.

I had an acquaintance who resto-modded an old truck with his daughter. It was fast and almost professional quality; and it meant a lot for them to have done it together. Shortly after he finished it, he died of a heart attack. He was young, one of those in-shape, health-conscious guys, but it happened. As part of her grieving, I suggested to the daughter that she ought to write to his favorite truck magazines, tell them about it and maybe they'd do an article. One came out and did a photo shoot. It was wonderful. Soon after the article came out, she got into an accident and totaled the truck.

Fishing, research on cognition, study of human behavior in both the individual and group modes, and modeling that behavior using nonstandard metrics like a Quantum Mechanical wave function model (and it actually seems to work, too!).

Hmm, Off road motorcycles. Been a while since I've raced though, remote travel by 4x4 with some Kayaking, classic cars "Alfa's" and rebuilding them, R/C planes 6 of them and my own flying field.
I'm still a kid at hart

Passions or passing hobbies?
Travel by bike or maybe by motorcycle, photography during my travels. I was into metal detecting for a couple of years. Sailing hoping to buy a nice cruising sailboat someday, maybe spend part of my retirement sailing to world. Grilling food outdoors over charcoal, and of course eating.

Beach sports ... body boarding (haven't tried surfing yet), frisbee, walking on the beach, attempting to swim in the waves

I also dabble in baking from time to time. And various artistic pursuits now and then.

Schweet! It's been a long time but whenever I see somebody playing with legos I join in the fun.

I like going to the racetrack on my motorceecles and doing mountain passes on them too.

I also like playing the guitar (once every month) and drawing (once every 3 months). Playing Call of Duty and used to enjoy getting drunk.. not anymore.

All of these hobbies have been sent to oblivion after I started riding my bicycle... Makes me kind of sad but then again the bike is realllllyyyy good.

Tinkering. I like fiddling with stuff that is either broken or was/would have been thrown away and either fixing it or re-purposing it or part of it in some way.

Currently I am drilling tops an bottom out of aluminum cans to make a non-electric solar heater for my chicken coop and greenhouse. I built the greenhouse out of wood I pulled out of a dumpster, windows that were going to be thrown away and an old door a friend gave me. The chicken house is being built by old pallets I have collected. After the chicken house I am going to build raised beds for my vegetable garden.

I made a magnetic sweeper out of magnets in an elliptical trainer and a piece of scrap wood. I drop a lot of nails and screws in the yard working on various projects, I cant always see them in the grass so the sweeper makes that a non-issue.

I am learning to sew in hope of making my own bags an packs for cycling. I have made a unique seat bag but it needs some significant improvements, as does my sewing ability. I have made some cycling caps but they need improving too. Most of my sewing is with recycled material, I have tried using sliced up, used tubes but I haven't mastered sewing stretchy material yet, which is part of my problem with the cycling caps.

I am currently working out how to make my own drill press out of a busted drill and rods from a dot-matrix printer.
