I heard a DJ make that association once, but I could not find an internet "appeal to authority" to back it up, so call it a subjective interpretation...

Going with 60's movie theme music, no words in this song, but many people will name the movie upon hearing it.

I came across an interesting documentary on American rock 60’s through 80’s, ironically done by the BBC. Doesn’t a British accent seem to give more credibility? Byrds at the 10 min mark chewyb

Check it out if you're interested, 70’s coming tomorrow.

Probably has already been posted, but this is one of my many 60's favorites.

This is recreated video to the one that I watched on the Smother Brothers show, but I seem to remember some modern photographs included in the original video that aired on the show.

It was all good music, of course, but a bit basic for an American, say, over 40 years old.

Time for me to start focusing on the early 60's song, seems like those songs are overshadowed by the later British Invasion and counterculture songs of the mid and late 60's.

A big hit for this band when it came out, and in the movies as well, plus I finally was able to see this band play live a few years back.

Here's a couple of hit 60's songs that I remember getting stuck in my head a few times, and since I'm king of the road, please don't tell me I have nothing to do.

Probably the only time you'll ever see Ted Nugent in a suit, still had the big Birdland from early on - kind of interesting this qualifies as a drug song when he was so anti-drug

Released in 1967, perhaps the best ballad of its day - Waterloo Sunset

This live version from 2010 Glastonbury was dedicated to Peter Quaife, the Kinks' original bassist. I saw the Kinks play several concerts in Pittsburgh in the 1970's, pretty awesome shows with Ray Davies encouraging audience participation. Some of the best musical memories of the era for me.

If the song is "I Love my Flower Girl" by The Cowsills (which is my guess), it's truly a delightful song, and sort of touching. I went on YouTube and listened to it.

I had to blow the dust off this song, though I did hear this song (in part) on a major TV ad several months back. I probably had more fun watching the people in the background in the video, than the song itself.

In Paris, the don't call them the Rolling Stones; they call them "Royale with cheese."
Well, what do they call Fleetwod Mac?"
    Les Fleetwood Mac.

Speaking of the Cowsills, they were also a family band and the model for the Partridge Family TV show

I had fun as a kid dancing to this song, as well as watching Dick Clark and American Bandstand.

Love the Ventures and all those early 60's instrumental bands like The Shadows, The Apache's, The Surfaris and these guys who did the original Telstar
