Brief background for those not seeing the other thread. Made offer on home that has not been updated for 45 years. House probably worth $160K if in decent condition, offered $140K and then found that it needed wall shoring that the seller wanted me to pay plus $145k. Wall shoring that was not in the disclosure btw.

I turned him down as the way I feel wall shoring does not add to the value of the house. Well apparently he feels it does. He decided to have it done and just raised the price of the house by $5k.

I think I'm goin install me a bunch of wall shoring and really get a lot of money for my house!
