any Red Sox fans?

or Detroit Tigers fans? really good series so far huh? very very enjoyable despite low scoring games.

good luck to y'all - in about 3 hrs we get at it again

as of today Sox are ahead in best of 7 series 2-1. 1st team to win 4 goes to the world series.

People are only Red Sox fans to keep from being Yankees fans.

Aside from that, I'm with windchaser. I'll take just about any other sport over baseball.

got stuck in the car last night waiting for daughter at her baby sitting job, almost a full hour during which time I was listening to the game on the radio and the announcers were saying the pitcher was not right like he had trouble seeing or something and that's when he started walking them and we started losing badly. so surprised he didn't get pulled - before they scored

Since Detroit beat my Oakland A's, I have to pull for them. I don't generally watch any American team sports on TV until the regular season is over. The 'second season' is long enough, especially in basketball & football. I used to go to A's baseball games before security tightened; you could carry in a small cooler as long as there were no glass bottles. Get a suntan and more interesting than the beach for a married man. Seattle Mariners baseball IS boring - and not enough tanning days.

Red Sox fan lite. I.e. during playoffs when they're on a hot streak.

I was in college in NY in 1986. That was a bad year.

I was living in Boston in 2004. That was a great year.

I read the roundups in the paper the next day. Definitely an exciting series.

Being a Sox fan is actually kind of ideal -- if they win, it's a pleasant surprise; if they lose, it's just another standard performance for the chokemeisters.

Tigers are my local boys. What a series this has been, eh? Tigers have gotten themselves into a pickle for sure. Although, as a Red Wings fan, I've seen stranger things happen.

Same here. Holy cow. And then the Giants that January; nothing specific about the Giants, but just the same kids so awful in October were even higher through the moon in Jan/Feb.

Likewise.
Carl Yastrzemski use to live about 8 houses around the lake from me during spring training. My sister babysat his kids.
Then I met my wife who went to high school with Bucky Dent. Gets interesting.

Longtime Red Sox fan here. I grew up in a family that had season tickets, and have gone to well over 1000 games.

That was a great series, and you guys are in another one now. This Tiger fan is wearing a Sox cap for now. Good luck.

awww thanks man. I don't buy hats and t-shirts unless it's a championship win, but the Tiger series was so intense, when they won I bought 2 of ea for my and my son. we wore the hats as soon as we got them and we lost that nite against the Cards, so 2 nites ago we ditched them and I put my '04 hat on and they won. last ite the son wore the LCS hat and I wore the '04 hat, so i think we got it down.

not to get ahead of ourselves but I'm trying to figure out if we should go downtown and hang out outside Fenway Wed nite (or Thursday nite) at the least I shud drop my son at his girlfriends dorm at Northeastern so at least he can celebrate. if we are lucky enough to win it all (fingers crossed) WE ARE GOING TO THE PARADE!

win or lose, these guys have worked hard for our entertainment. my hats off to the St Louis Cardinals for being such a brutal opponent. so glad they bounced back from that showing in game 1. that was weird. I know they won't be that easy tomorrow night. I hope they do well, but not well enough to win
