i said earlier in the episode what one of the guys said at the end - that the nazis might not have found it because they were digging in the wrong place. maybe, eventually. but who knows. so, yes, indy did influence it a bit. and because of what he did with blowing up the plane and stealing the truck they were transporting it on, who knows where the nazis may have originally decided to go open it, or how for that matter. who knows.
