Damn, the shock of this made me drop my pie. Lou was quite a real pioneer in rock.

This song is a great example.

Sad day indeed. Somewhat coincidentally, I've had "perfect day" stuck in my head the past few days because of that PS4 commercial.
And OTG that Sweet Jane rocks. Listening to the Cowboy Junkies version occasionally is kind of a guilty pleasure of mine.

I was wondering what they were going to do about the lyrics.

Sad day indeed, but I wouldn't call the Cowboy Junkies a guilty pleasure.

You mean not a pleasure to listen to or shouldn't feel guilty?

We have tickets to see them in Toronto in a few weeks. Maybe they will do Sweet Jane in his memory.

Had to educate the young ones at work about who he was. That led to Frank Zappa videos. Now my coworkers are REALLY scared of anyone older than 35...

Shouldn't feel guilty, they're one of my favorite bands.
I got to meet Margot Timmins after one of their shows, and and was surprised at home tiny she is. What a voice!

^possibly the best concert i ever saw was the cowboy junkies
on the trinity sessions album tour. fantastic and intimate-just like the album.

yah...i'd say r.i.p. to lou but it wasn't his way and i wouldn't expect the next life to
be any less of a ride than this one.
listening to lots of solo lou and the velvets with the occasional john cale album
    mixed in.
i'd rather be alive wrong than dead right
