That's an argument? It doesn't even have grammatical structure.

Man, I'm still thinking about the thread title. I kind of like:
argumentat contra communem sensum vehe = argues against common sense passionately

There is a section called Books, Movies, Music & Entertainment.

Shouldn't all the threads like Fifties Music Tuesday, Sixties Music Wednesday, Seventies Music Thursday, 80's Music Friday, 90's Music Saturday, new movie "Gravity", Post ya fav Christmas Songs be in that section ?

Pure nonsense. Threads belong in fabrics or spindles, and should organize by color. Forum threads are no exception.

It's an ad hominem attack, a perfectly acceptable style of argument.

...but by definition, ad hominem attacks ignore what others have said. That is what makes them ad hominem.

Ad hominem arguments don't ignore anything, they simply focus in on one little portion of what was said while disregarding the rest.

...ad hominem: literally"toward the man"

Quote:
An ad hominem argument occurs when one attacks the person making an argument rather than the argument itself. It is therefore a special case of the broader category of formal logical fallacies, the non sequitur, in which the conclusion urged, e.g. that the disputant is incorrect, does not follow from the premise asserted, e.g. that the disputant is a dick.[SUP][1][/SUP] Even if the ad hominem attack is true, e.g. the disputant really is a dick, that fact has no bearing on whether the disputant's argument is logically sound.

Have I told you yet how bad you are at this stuff ?
