This will not end well.

Nothing good will come of this.

http://www.valleynewslive.com/story/...alloween-candy

Well some good will come of it. After her house is TP'd and egged and ding dong ditched with flaming bags of dog crap, she may learn to get off her high horse.

Even Mrs. A is handing out real stinkin' candy. Now, she might not give it to anyone under 5 and have the parents eat it instead, and she can't eat it herself and won' let the kids eat it, buuut...

I feel really sorry for kids...what happened to all the good times?

I hate self-appointed "guardians" of anything.

I would make a comment about the current occupants of the WH (which would fit in with that this woman is doing) but I don't want this thread transferred, edited, moved or locked.

I could see if she wanted to hand out the letter to every kid to make her point; kind of like the people who give out apples because they think sugar causes cavities. But to only give the letter to kids she deems as obese? How can she think this is a good idea?

I have my bags of KitKats and Almond Joys. SWMBO has told me to give out the Almond Joys first, so that if any candy is left over, it is the kind she likes.

She could hand out pennies or pencils instead of candy. I got many pennies when I was a child. Pennies were 95% copper back then, too.

Not sure what we are giving out. I buy the good stuff and in vast quantities. SWMBO buys mid range in smaller sizes.

I got one bag of bags of chocolate-covered pretzels and one bag of pb cups/almond joys/and a few others. At least I will enjoy the leftovers.

Also, it is our first Halloween in the new neighborhood, so I have no idea what to expect.

Well, now what happens when one of the kids she thinks is "moderately obese" takes that letter home to mom and dad and they read it? Well I can just see this being a story on one or more of the cable news networks, "Woman who gave out fat letters on Halloween beat by trick or treaters parents on her front lawn".

Same here. If there's going to be candy left over it has to be something I like.

yes. but you are supposed to give the sweeties to the little urchins, monsters and ghouls and not eat it all yourself.
