Halloween candy

what do you folks give out on halloween? This year i will stray from the loose raisins that I normally give out, and hand out hard boiled eggs. only I will probably color them to make them more festive.

your house will get TPed. Give out something kids want.

i'm partial to the variety packs of snickers, milkyway, twix miniatures. mostly because they are all ones i love so if i don't hand them all out i get to eat the best.

however it should be noted that the mini reeses peanut butter cups (the ones that are wrapped, not the tiny ones in a bag) are the best candy in existence. to say otherwise is blasphemous and just plain incorrect.

I haven't had a trick-or-treater come by since I moved into my current apartment. But I buy a bag of candy just in case. So fun-size 3 musketeers it is. I'll eat them if no one else does.

If I were trick or treating, loose raisins would be real low on the list, and I love raisins. Eggs would only be like giving out ammo for tricksters.

I was one of those wierdos who liked molasses kisses... Not the waxy ones but the old fashioned ones that were softer.

They don't seem to be available anymore but as the wife and I are not into eating candy and won't be here to hand out treats as there are so few trick or treaters that come around.

We normally do a mix up of good quality stuff. If I buy, I with mini candy bars like snickers, crunch, etc. If the wife buys she gets the mixed bags of suckers and nerds and sweet tarts, etc.

You should also hand out little cups of cappuccino to go with the hard boiled eggs.

I give out whatever is in the big bag from Costco - Snickers, Milky Way, Three Musketeers, etc.

Nothing. I live out in the middle of nowhere. Twice we took our kids into my mother's neighborhood for trick or treat. My mother is a selfish snob and doesn't hand out candy. She said she was getting some since we were coming in the first time. My wife handed out candy while mom walked around with me and the girls. We learned from that and the 2nd time brought our own candy to hand out. It's embarrassing to hand out the absolute cheapest and crappiest stuff when you are not even from the neighborhood and your kids are getting candy from others. The 2nd time, my wife handed out the good candy we brought and threw away the junk from my mother.

Razor blades, hypodermic needles, and bullets.

J/K. lol

Heath bars and Reese's peanut butter cups.

...or, rather, stuff we like to have leftover after not getting many visitors.

kids in my neighborhood want cigarettes. they demand them, actually. and i give them what they want, because they scare the **** out of me.

the worst are the really little ones, like five or six year olds. above the law, and they know it. they're a terror. and this damn holiday brings out the worst in them.

but i ain't in a fightin' mood. i try to be pleasant, hand them the cigs, and keep a low profile. i ain't gonna be tricked like last time. i still miss my dog. my poor, old dog. damn kids...

I bought a bag almost 4 lbs of tootsie rolls, dots and other stuff. I also bought about 5 bags of snickers, kit kat, reeses. I gave out the tootsie rolls first, I even had a kid ask me for a few more of the boxes of dots. I had some of the good chocolate leftover for me.

My wife doesn't like to disappoint the kids; like every year we're giving out nestle & hershey fun size bars.

Flip side to this is I get a lions share of good candy before the children do and we wouldn't be stuck with candy we wouldn't eat.

Do the honor system. Leave your front light on & a bowl of candy out!

The kids get full sized chocolate bars and the parents have a choice of Hot chocolate or coffee with either rum or Bailey's. 143 kids this year.
