New plane for the U.S.

The successor for the SR-71 BlackBird, the new SR-72, supposedly twice as fast as the SR-71, the 72 will fly at MACH 6!

Okay so now, if you watch the History channel, UFO Files, you might have heard of the Aurora, I wonder if this is what people were hearing over the desert southwest back in the 90's.

Im sitting here wondering why anyone would post this BS link? Heres what one person posted about the so called SR-72 BlackBird... "We are talking about a "scaled demonstrator" by 2023. Any aircraft company in the U.S. could announce the same thing. Get back to me when the engine is operating in the required regimen. Until that happens, this is complete vaporware."

One thing I know about spy planes. The government doesn't tend to tell you about them until after their service life is over or they are found out by outside parties. So I have to wonder what's really being flown right now. The SR-71 was retired in 1990. It's hard to believe that they are waiting 40 years between planes, and equally hard to believe that they would tip their hand so obviously. Is it time to retire the Aurora?

Well that's not entirely true everyone knew about the Blackbird long before it was retired. I think you're right about waiting such a long time between the 71 and the 72. So what manned supersonic or hypersonic plane are they flying now? Is the Aurora still flying? Did it ever really exist? Is the SR-72 already in service? Or maybe there is something in between the 71 and the 72 that's actually flying now. Well seeing that the Aurora and most likely the SR-72 were / are being developed at AREA 51, we're not likely to know too much about them.
