I'm rather surprised that this didn't become the next Rick Roll, if the Rick Roll craze could ever be repeated.....

Mr Rhythm Man played this on his eclectic FM radio show tonight.

Kinks: Til the End of the Day. 1965.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
We wanted to cover the Kinks the most back in my teen garage band days. Gowd we were awful though and none of us dared sing. But we had a real drummer and did Wipe Out a lot. And the Ventures.......badly.

A dozen years ago or so my wife and I were on vacation in Southern California, driving from Monterey around LA on our way to San Diego, and we got stuck in a traffic jam behind a genuine Orange County Lumber truck. I kept giggling, until my wife insisted I explain what was so funny.

I just downloaded this in mp4 format with my "Ant" flash video downloader plugin for my Mozilla Firefox browser (Windows format). I'm not sure why it works on some YouTube posts and not others. Perhaps newer options with YouTube posters settings that I haven't looked into yet. (I am a YouTube poster). But it worked on this.

What I do is convert the flash video formats that I download (either flv, mp4 or webm files) to Video CD mpg format with "Pazera" freeware and burn them to a disk so I can watch them on my old tube TV where they usually view fairly acceptably. You can also find other software (perhaps freeware) that will strip the audio file from it (either a wav or mp3) and burn it to an audio or data disk.

At any rate the mp4 video should play on your computer just like it is. This one has pretty good resolution too.

Now let's see... beautiful German singer (Nena) and a hot American Singer (Kim Wilde) Yep, I'm in. Wow! Nena was how old when they shot this? Yow!

Here's what I'm playing right now. I recently put this on Facebook, and my brother pops up and says he was at Montreux in 1985 and saw this live.

I hate him.

Any Enigma fans here? Definitely cool stuff, but probably not appreciated by the MTV generation.

Deal4Fuji 05-01-14 07:01 PM

I was going to post this over on the "today's music is crap" thread to show there is still good music being made by good musicians but I think It'd be a waste of time

Somehow this was on everybody's lips at work today. Not the sentiment... the refrain:
"I know, I know, I know, I know..."
