I would paint the cupboards hot pink, and paint your floor neon green.

I'm thinking sky blue pink with purple polka dots for the cupboards and baby s**t green for the floors.

Velcro the cupboards for a handy place to stick the pets while you sprinkle sumo-wrestling sand on the floor.

Get a large can of Elmer's Glue. Add 50% more water Pour in 2 bottles of food dye chosen with your eyes closed. Add 3 packages of glitter. Mix.

Pour on the floor and let dry for 24 hours. This will be a tough, attractive and waterproof floor covering.

Are you planning on selling your house? If so, use neutral colors.

The cabinets and floors should contrast - light cabinets with dark floor or dark cabinets with a lighter floor.

You can get all sorts of ideas by watching home improvement shows on HGTV or the DIY network.

Black celling with the Romeda Nebula Galaxy. The floor painted like lava flows on the sun and alien space craft on all the walls.

Depends on countertops, but I'm a fan of hunter green cabinets and sort of honey wood flooring. For a kitchen hard flooring (wood, tile, linoleum, stone, whatever) wins every time. Don't get a tile with grout in between. I hate cleaning grout and you will too.
Punctuation is important. It's the difference between "I helped my uncle, Jack, off a horse" and "I helped my uncle Jack off a horse"

Consider how much natural light you have, especially on overcast days. My last house's kitchen (its biggest room) faced south but only had one modest window so it wasn't ever very bright. I chose a lighter yellow for three walls and a bolder red for one end, with maple-y floors. If I did it again, I wouldn't go with flooring that has so much orange. I'm no decorator either. Ask friends and family for input too. I rely on mine heavily.

She never said. But I don't recall her ever wearing polka dots, so I'll take that as a without.

My Mom only wanted purple ones, no other colour was allowed.
