He is free now.
We all will take that final step in life, it's the steps before that one that count. He took giant ones. Rest in Peace, Sir, you deserve it.
He expereinced some of the worst that we can inflict on each other and used that experience not to lead people into hate and revenge, but to lead people toward peaceful coexistence. South Africa and its race relations are far from ideal, but it could not have come as far as it has without Mandela. He was a truly remarkable man, and will continue to be a truly remarkable influence.
I still remember listening to the radio broadcast that he made immediately after his release from prison. It was so inspirational. Who knew he would take it so much farther.
:( Sad news this. Has been coming, but still, today, the world has lost a great man.
My father saw Nelson Mandela's anti-Apartheid concert. He says, "You knew you were in the presence of someone special. It was an incredible experience."
Incredible human being. Rest in Peace, Sir.
They built him a nice Benz upon his release.
Really powerful man. "If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner."
why is paul walkers death making more noise
He will be remembered as one of the greatest men of our time
Truly the world has lost one of the most important people of the last 100 years. RIP
The local news person referred to him as a great “African American” statesman.
Thank you Mr. Mandela for showing us the way.
