Hmm, even though Ruben hasn't updated his profile, I'm fairly sure that he is now in Little Rock...

If the driver door won't open, try the passenger. You can also make some homemade deicer using vinegar and water- not sure of the exact ratio, so just Google/Bing/Yahoo it.

That has only been required since 2002.

Well back then it was probably colder. Now with global warming today it's a balmy 4 degrees (was -6 this morning).

Well, Ruben wasn't powerful enough to stop the storm, they are looking at possible ice here on Sunday.

Move back to Puerto Rico no snow or frost issues there. As a bonus you can cycle around the island in a day or two.

I want to know who taught him the word 'sledge'.

Surely this word has never been a part of his lexicon heretofore.

So you think it should be something like "I am no longer a virgin to snow" or "That Old Man Winter done had his wicked Way with me"? Even by Rube standards that's a little thick.

You should have seen what those stairs looked like last Christmas Day. (Ask your neighbors) Imagine the snow so that each step piles up to the next step.

One tip, take a plastic dustpan and use it to clean off the sleet or snow as soon as possible. That way it will be easier to clear, there will be less to refreeze and it will be safer for all to go up and down the stairs. The dustpan is also good for cleaning snow off your car.

Yeah, but Ruben's no longer a Florida flatlander. Bicycling down the hill to the highway could have its own thrills.

Haha, yea, that was definitely my first thought.

I can't even imagine having never seen snow in person. Did you make a snow angel Rube? Snow can kind of make me giddy, and I'm used to it. Got dang magical.

Let's be clear here. I think Little Rock had a "Winter Mix" which is a delightful melange of sleet, freezing rain and gritty snow. What the Eskimos call 'nasticrap'.

Delightful snow is either a thick, thick blanket of powder or huge flakes that vanish as they hit the ground.

It was -9 here yesterday morning. Got up to the teens today. We should be back above freezing by Tuesday or so next week. Brrrrrrr
