A first generation Camaro (1967-1969). It wouldn't have to be an SS model, just a nice clean Camaro.

    Are we having fun yet?

Oh, they know, partially because I have posted about them many times, lol. Even before I saw your post, I was thinking a G63 6X6. Fast as hell, goes anywhere, can haul anything. I might have to choose an old 600 or 300sel 6.3 though.

With me joining this forum and starting to ride a bike this past summer, it is the beginning of trying to be more active and get in better shape. I'm actually here on a bike forum from wanting to get into kayaking. I don't have the money for a kayak but had an old Walmart mountain bike in the garage, so here I am riding a bike and visiting this forum. Kayaking is coming maybe next summer if I can swing it along with a needed new bike. Thus the Tacoma would be much more practical hauling around a couple of kayaks (if I can get the girls interested more than one paddle around) or my bike.
kayaking will be the next thing I learn to do if it kills me!

A Taco will be my Xmas gift to myself when I qualify next year. Expensive, but I've always wanted one.

It would need to have a picture and signature from Bender Bending Rodgriquez on the side, but I concur. We need x-136 to come back.

I wouldn't go all the way to the WRX engine, just a dumb old Subaru Boxer would do it for me.

The more I ponder this thread, the more I am leaning towards a mild resto mod on a 1970s or 80s GM station wagon. Streetable, all the amenities. New enough where you can get parts easily. V8 power for pulling trailer if needed. Room to carry kids with seats up or gear with seats down.

This really is my daily driver and it works for me! 65 mpg in the winter, 70 mpg (sometimes more!) in the summer. For automobile-commuting it works great. Bike fits in the back with the front wheel removed. Low weight (1,800 lbs.), very aero, and high pressure tires (45 psi.) for low rolling resistance.
2006 Honda Insight.jpg2006 Honda Insight. 985 cc. engine with electric motor assist. Yes, I know its ugly but hey, it's aero!

    Rick / OCRR\

PS: Okay, if I could really have anything it would be a Lancia Stratos.

I going to do that with an MGB GT and the engine and running gear from a Miata. It's a resto-mod that has been done so many times it's all off the shelf. There were a half a million MGs made, even though they are classics now they're still cheap. The Miata is the best selling sports car of all time; there ain't a part on it, including the chassis, that you can't replace out of a junk yard for no more than a grand.

Figure it won't cost much more than a new Yaris.

I didnt know there was a third.
