Watched the first half of "Lawrence of Arabia" last night. First time. My parents had given me the DVD a few years ago...

    Loved it.

Loved his stuff. Here's a video clip of him doing lyrics from the Spice Girls.

Flying a jet is no different than riding a bicycle. It's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.

The best Peter O'Toole movie I've seen was The Stunt Man: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081568/
O'Toole plays the Machiavellian director of a movie being filmed.

BTW if you have not seen it, then DO NOT WATCH THE TRAILER!
The fools who edited the trailer packed it full of spoilers.

Some background on the film: The director (Richard Rush) created this film around the story of a guy on the run who stumbles into a job as a stunt man, due to Rush's interest in working with them on prior movies. His consultant in making the movie is the guy you see *in* the movie who plays the stunt coordinator, and was in fact a professional stunt man.

Yeah I downloaded the flash videos (a webm file in this case) from a YouTube posting of this one last night. I re-encode them into Video CD MPGs and watch them on my old tube TV set where they view pretty decent (for my requirements).

Even though I'd read quite a bit about TE Lawrence and that region in that era I'd never actually seen that particular movie about him even though I grew up then. Also saw the first half. Will watch the rest tonight after work.

My favorite O'Toole movie is My Favorite Year. RTE did a tribute to him tonight after Drivetime.
