This old argument again; best ISP?

Going to be moving next month and I'm hoping to stay away from Crapcast. I know providers are somewhat region-dependent, but I'm open to suggestions. I think I just want internet, don't need tv. I really just need a speed fast enough to comfortably stream Netflix and whatnot.

So where are you moving and who will be available in that area? Until we know that, there is no point in discussing anything.

I stream with hey tea n tea's 1.5. Not HD but it looks fine to me. $15/mo is tough to beat.

And what he said^, you may only have one choice. Around here, crapcast is the the only one that does truly high speed (25+). And I'm not forking over $65/mo.

$15 is practically too cheap not to get, lol. I know we have att in the area, but it's spotty. I'll check on them, thanks.

I share your distaste for Crumcast but TW is even worse. I'll do dialup again before I give TW a dime.

I've had occasion recently to do speedtests on several different ISPs in my area recently and Crumcast is definitely the fastest around here. Right now my home cable speed is 10.7mps down and 5.62 up. No ADSL around here can touch that. And they have been pretty steady for service in the last couple of years. There was a time when my connection would go down for no apparent reason and always at a really bad time.
