Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all the Foosters.

I went through K-Mart with an eye towards getting myself a little treat. But I found nothing. Guess that means that my needs are pretty well met. That's something to be thankful about. Temps will be heading up towards 48 degrees F on Christmas day and clear, so I'm thinking it will be a nice day for a ride.

I wish they'd bring back Aluminum Christmas trees. Back in the day, you could find them in cheap department stores. Totally tacky, especially if decorated with
blue balls, and one of those slowly rotating color lights on the floor.

And for the PC police out there.... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Put that in your smoke and pipe it.

Merry Christmas... we are hoping that your celebrations are joyous and safe.

We really had nothing to ask for this year... even the kids had short lists and I took care of one of those things this afternoon. My daughter works at the pet store and all she wanted was a "yes" from us so that she could bring her little workmate Pearl home forever and she has been saving her pay for this.

When she came to wish her little friend a Merry Christmas she saw a handwritten note and she looked away and said... "she's sold".

I made her read the cursive note which said, "My name is Pearl and I am going to my forever home so I can live with my best friend... Merry Christmas Alex".

My daughter could not even speak for 5 minutes and then she just buried her head in my shoulder and started crying and said I deserved more than socks this year.

That's really cute, sixty. You're a good pop. That's the type of thing your daughter will remember forever.

I've already gotten more than I could ask for. I have a lot to be thankful for this year. Hopefully, no matter how bad of a day/week/year you've been having, you can find a little happiness in this holiday. And even though it is a religious holiday, to me, Christmas is for everyone. Merry Christmas all.

Tomorrow in Little Rock:

1) A frozen over Puertorrican with an Alaskan-approved winter Jacket, windows up in the car, heater at full strength.
2) Some crazy gringo riding a bike, zigzagin' ice patches, wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

Guess who's who?

Merry Christmas 2 u all...

Merry Christmas all. Thankfully, we have power and I will be spending my day in the kitchen doing what I love best... cooking for the family. Even in an ice storm there is beauty so here is a shot of an unintentional Christmas wreath my youngest took.

I'll bet you know a thing or two about blue balls.

Merry Christmas trackhub!
