Watching that movie Christmas Eve night has been a tradition for years, and I was surprised to find it was the 30th anniversary of the release of the film this year.

I knew what the title referred to right off. Great movie!
They made a sequel a year or so ago. On it's own, it was an ok movie, but it didn't hold a candle to the original.

He's great. Did you ever hear the show he did where he talked over the Raymond Scott tune? It was great.

We just watched "Its a Wonderful Life" from beginning to end... man does that movie go on and on and really reach for the heart strings.

I've known the story for as long as I can remember, but didn't recall all those details... wow.

I don't remember that one, but he used a couple of Raymond Scott pieces: In An Eighteenth Century Drawing Room and The Happy Whistler.
There are samples from both here: http://www.flicklives.com/index.php?pg=201

I confess to hating "Its a Wonderful Life". Depressing from beginning to end. When George Bailey smashes the model of the bridge he built, it's the official end to his hopes & dreams. He'll be stuck in Bedford Falls forever.

Pottersville looked like a fun place to live. No black folk in Bedford Falls, they lived in Pottersville.

Nick over at Nick's Place had a lot more pizazz than he did at Martini's.
Still, if I was to characterize the town I live in, Pottersville is a lot closer than Bedford Falls. And what do you get when every town is Pottersville?
