an amazon question

I bought an asus google nexus 7, I have the amazon kindle app, my question is this, if I buy an e-book from them, do they remember what I have purchased, and can I read them on other devices? in other words if I buy a book today and 5 years down the road I want to read it again on a different device can I just download it again or would I need to buy it again?

I can't say positively, but I'm fairly confident that any digital purchases are saved within your amazon account and are able to be re-downloaded. Probably within "Manage my kindle."

When you register your device on your account, all of them are linked. I usually download to all my devices fairly quick, so I can read from any. If left on, they will also sync.

Butttttt, yes, you can do it all later.

I have a Nexus 7 also and I put the Kindle app on it. Using my amazon login links all the machines I access amazon on. I can get the book downloads from any computer and it just downloads to my Kindle app and stays on there forever. I also put the Kindle app on my smartphone that I got recently and can look at my books there.

I only download free books. I subscribe to email notices that tell me of sale (and free) ebooks. I have about 150 of them now.

Yep, they all link up as long as you're logged into the same account on each device. Love my Nexus 7.
