I am so emphatic

I am so emphatic that i avoid to interact with people unless it is too necessary. Let's say i went into a shop to look for something. When i ask the price of an item and it is higher than i expected the fun begins. I say to myself; "ok, this is too expensive. It would be stupid to buy this with this price but i should find a good excuse so the sales person won't feel too bad". Then i find myself trying to convince him/her that it would not be beneficial for me to buy this good. Maybe you can call it as simply as being shy but i really give a damn to what people feel.

I am more emphatic than You! CAPICHE?

Sheesh!

Just playin' -- I know you mean "empathic." My wife is quite empathic -- it's a real thing. And it is a challenging gift to have.

Ahh, i got it. Thank you for emphasizing my mistake. One question; is your wife a pisces? If not she is an aquarius.

shop online. problem solved (at least concerning shopping).

there are also apps for your phone where you can scan a bar code to compare prices. the ebay app may even do this (dunno).

also tell yourself that most people admire strong, independent people -- people that aren't easily led. so, when asking a price you find that is unacceptable, you can thank the employee for his information, say something witty, or just smile without sarcasm and say nothing. after all, he is paid to answer questions as well as take your cash.

No, she is a Libra. Which is what makes the empath quality difficult to deal with for her, if you put much stock in astrology... it "throws off her balance."

I enjoy typos, they're fun... Just tonight I PM'd someone RE a pay it forward item. I wrote "PSY it forward."

In reading your post, though, I'd suggest thinking about the difference between empathy and anxiety... I experience both. In the long run, it's best to just be up front with folks in a nice way rather than get tied in knots overthinking stuff.

^^^ Kudos for the gratuitious use of Troi boobs and finding the original 'Empath'. More BF threads should have these.

Alright. Do you really think that I brought up this issue because of that? Shopping? Life would be easier if i was as unsympathetic as you.

No problem. I am not after life changing answers here. Just wanted to share a feel. I didn't want to blame you. That is your character and sometimes it is good to be like you.
