I used to take walking for granted. Didn't give it much thought.

With ever-worsening arthritis in my right foot ... I'm thankful for every time I can still walk. It hurts ... I limp a little bit ... but I'm still going!

And along those lines ^^ ...

After living off the grid and in very remote and rustic conditions for a year, just a few years ago, I still appreciate things like:

-- an indoor toilet
-- hot shower
-- bright lights
-- paved driveway
-- warmth at the click of a button

Thanks Siu for reminding us all that there lots to be grateful for... I am grateful for everything; from the moment I wake up to the moment I fall asleep and for a good night's sleep when I get one. I am ever so grateful for a set of very good friends who have my back; I have a job that allows me the freedom to go ride my bike when the weather is good. I am getting old (today 63!) but have my health and don't feel old... I could go on and on... I am blessed to know and appreciate gratitude....

Visiting my brother who was a riding partner for years I find his health has deteriorated so badly he can no longer ride. He's a year older than me.

I'm thankful that I can still throw my leg over a top tube and spin the cranks.

Not having to hand crank a car to get it started every day like our grandfolks had to do. Indoor plumbing and bathrooms. Electricity.
