Both my kids play basketball. My daughter for high school and my son on school and club team. So I guess one of my hobbies is watching a lot of youth basketball. lol

Other hobbies:
Golf - I hadn't played in awhile but now that my son has taken an interest I will likely be playing a lot more.
Fishing
Hiking
Gardening

In addition to my cycling, I'm also a fiction writer. And am currently working on two military thrillers.

And, a poet. I've published my poetry here: http://hellopoetry.com/j-hawkins/

I enjoy basketball and soccer, and snowshoeing in the winter!

I used to love riding a girlfriends dad's horse.....Half Tennessee Walker and half Thoroughbred. Also a cowhorse (obviously not a cutting horse) as they owned a 60 section ranch. That horse was one smooooth loping Cadillac. I didn't like riding any other horse they had so much as that gelding.

-Wetshaving. Though its just something I do now, not as much hobby. Got expensive fast (for what it is). I don't shave with anything other than my vintage Gillette safety razors, boar brushes, and artisan (and affordable) shaving SOAP made from tallow.
-Playing with guitar. Not playing. I suck
-Shooting sports of all kinds. Its a very relaxing hobby!
-Working on my bicycles. I don't just ride them I do all the repairs and upkeep. Wheel building is fun, too!
-Hiking
-Photography, limited though.
-Home Brewing. I've cut this back to almost nothing with my new diet and exercise. I do need to get a batch brewing though for spring! Once I start riding outside (a lot) I will be able to enjoy beer more often again

Maybe I should have posted pictures of bicycles periodically throughout the thread.

The wife and I breed and show horses. The Mrs. is an open show judge and 25+ year trainer. Not to mention we're the only couple that shows up to the local bike trail with a Diesel Dually.

This is one of our guys. He's a four year old out of world/ congress champion stallion, Mr. Ice Te. He's dual registered Quarter Horse and Palomino. He stands 16.1 hands and built like a truck. He is a little over 3 y/o in the photo.

Been into strength sports lately. I'm a bit too short to be any good strongman but some of it is a lot of fun. I need to figure out how to make a small but heavy atlas stone for my trex arms.
Martial arts, namely judo and bjj
car racing, but that's horribly expensive and time consuming

You've all indicated that photography is one your hobbies ... come participate in our monthly themed BF Photo Contest. We welcome more people!! There are still a few days left to get a photo in for August, and September will be starting soon.

http://www.bikeforums.net/foo/965526...o-contest.html

The rules are quite simple:

You must be the photographer, of course
Ideally the photo should be recent
One entry per month
The photo should fit the theme

We post photos until the end of the month, and then we spend the first few days of the next month voting.
When voting time comes, you vote for 3 photos, but not your own.
The person who started the thread will tally the votes and announce the winner.
And if you win, you pick the theme, start the thread, and organise the voting for the following month's thread.

In other words, if you enter a photo for August, and it goes to voting during the first week of September, and you win ... you pick the theme and start October's thread.
