Things to replace at the start of the season...

Yeah, I've been thinking about it now that the weather seems to be breaking toward spring. Here's what is on my list:

    - My attitude - I'm going to stop thinking "There's a flat route if you're willing to go an extra half-mile."

    - The handlebar end plugs from Bontrager. I'm tired of looking at them and thinking I'm a "B" rider. I'm going to find some with an "A".

    - The chain lube I've been using. I don't know what it is, but every time I smell it, I get hungry for cotton candy.

    - My shoes. I've been wearing black ones, but am going to get white ones. Everyone knows white shoes make you faster. (Maybe next year I'll get gold ones, but I'm not there yet.)

    - The headset spacers. My old ones are just plain black. I'm going to get carbon ones. I figure the reduction in weight will get me an increase of .0032 watts.

    - The post ride recovery drink. I was using straight chocolate milk. I'm going to go with chocolate soy milk, because it's... well, trendy.

So what are you going to replace?
A conclusion is the place where you got tired of thinking. - S. Wright

The best chainlube (and cleaner) is a 60/40% (or in that ballpark +/- 10%) mix if mineral spirits and 30wt motor oil.

It's smell makes me hungry for horsepower...
You can further the brotherhood of man by eliminating class.
You can lift the wage earner up by equalizing earnings.
You can bring about prosperity by overturning the holders of power.
You can strengthen the weak by eating the the strong.
You can help the poor by destroying the rich.

    - My attitude - I'm going to stop thinking "There's a flat route if you're willing to go an extra half-mile". Funny, I always go out of my way for hills.

    - The handlebar end plugs from Bontrager. I'm tired of looking at them and thinking I'm a "B" rider. I'm going to find some with an "A". Just changed my tape to Lizardskins from Bontrager!

    - The chain lube I've been using. I don't know what it is, but every time I smell it, I get hungry for cotton candy. I'll stick with Clean Ride since it doesn't make me hungry...

    - My shoes. I've been wearing black ones, but am going to get white ones. Everyone knows white shoes make you faster. (Maybe next year I'll get gold ones, but I'm not there yet.) Stop. I'm trying to talk myself out of buying new shoes/pedals.

    - The headset spacers. My old ones are just plain black. I'm going to get carbon ones. I figure the reduction in weight will get me an increase of .0032 watts. On my new build I went with carbon spacers! Going to be so fast on my steel framed bike!

    - The post ride recovery drink. I was using straight chocolate milk. I'm going to go with chocolate soy milk, because it's... well, trendy. What's wrong with beer?

I don't have my own list, sorry.

there are some with a pretty carbon fiber piece in them , also..

So what are you going to replace?

the Gutter on the north side of my house needs to be fixed .. it has a swayback dip in the center.

so it dumps water out there. and onto the window..
