Missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, a Boeing 777-200ER commercial passenger jet

Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, a Boeing 777-200ER commercial passenger jet disappeared on March 8, en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing in the middle of the night. That was 10 days ago. Some of the evidence makes me think someone stole it and we'd better watch for it showing up somewhere else when we least expect it. I sure wish they would find it before that happens!

Why do that? There are plenty of "expert" opinions right in our own P&R.

Now that would be a tough target to reach.

Kinda hard to hide landing, turnaround, and launching a 777 into airspace.

It's in the water. Gone. Andaman Sea/ Indian ocean is deep. Catastrophic systems failure of some sort.

There are no radar tracks of it heading in any other direction than out into the water.

I'm talking to a buddy of mine who is an American Airlines pilot and is homeland security. He is saying he is thinking it's hijacked and will be used as a weapon. Also that a government has to be involved to pull this off. Also in the week since it happened he has had 3 air Marshall's on flights when he usually only has one a month.

Yada, yada, yada. Lots of "keyed up," people work in HS.

Last track clearly shows the jet heading out to sea. If it came inland it would have been picked up.

K.I.S.S. is the rule.

Not everything is simple. No luggage floating, no seats, tracking deactivated. Isreal on alert. An increase in Marshall's shows we are alert. I don't believe it just crashed until there is wreckage.

Tracking deactivated? You mean transponders shut down. No one knows if anything was purposefully deactivated. A serious electrical malfunction could easily be the culprit there.

Israel is always on alert. No jet landed anywhere and is now hidden. James Bond this is not.

Considering the search area...finding wreckage at this point is nearly impossible and if it hit the water with serious velocity, imagine hundreds of thousands of wee bits of high tech confetti.

Maybe something will wash up in a year or two unless some other piece of data comes out that allows the search effort to triangulate more efficiently.

It's a big ocean.

@unfiltered: but what about the fact that the deviation in the flight pattern was thought to have been programmed in? That would sound like there was malicious intent from the very beginning, electrical problems or not.

My first thought was it went to the Maldives. It used to be a nice friendly place with Hindus, but now is a typical MUSLIM dictatorial PRISON camp still disguised as a tourist trap. This is basically the only real possibility to hide a plane. I wouldn't discount the involvement of those 2 Iranians who talked to "mr Ali" for FIVE hours. The phone company is the first place I would look to find out who the hell he is. They gave a snarky QUIET to the host who drove them to the airport.

Otherwise, it's a suicide with either way of involvement. I can't understand how the cabin back crew would not immediately know something was weird when the U-turn happened. The phones worked just fine on 9/11 and they flew over Banda Aceh. And Why just sit there and do nothing when 2 clowns start threatening them ?? I would go for the luggage bins and get everybody to hammer the fers.

I was kinda wondering if maybe they found Amelia Earhart and went to rescue her. It makes as much sense as any other idea now till they discover what has happened.
