I think I saw one with a v8 not sure where it was.saw one with 1800 watts if I recall was a blendtec

I got one of the $17 Ninja blenders from Target. Talk about a handy little item. It will even grind meat for burger. I mostly use it for salsa and coleslaw.
Every now and then it helps to sharpen the blades with one of those cheap little carbide hand held knife sharpeners.

I think the thing is actually something like 2 or 3 HP. Does a fine job of making things fine.
