Paint around the mouth?

Chroming.

Spray paint into a bag, put bag over mouth and enjoy the VOCs.

From what I've seen on cops and whatnot, paint huffers are some of the most pathetic creatures on earth.

No reason to feel anything other than pity, a lot of people probably would have kicked his butt and/or called the cops. Unfortunately there was probably nothing you could have done, even if he wanted to stop... The stuff practically melts your brains.

Can't imagine being so despondent as to huff paint for a high....or to steal a bike, likely to sell for money to buy more paint.

Paint is so 1990's today high is bath salts. It seems every 5 years or so a new high gets the headlines.

Paint huffing makes meth look benign... we had a guy (addict) who would come by the restaurant I worked at (nightly) and he often smelled so bad of paint fumes and decay that he could not sit inside and never had any money to buy anything.

We had a patio out back and we'd make sure he got a nice meal and some food to take with him and he never caused any problems save for offending other customers.

He'd get cleaned up for short periods of time and would always thank us for taking care of him.

That's time wasted. If he's huffing, it will take a lot more than kindness to get him to wake up. Huffing makes you stupider and stupider.
