I am doing okay. Not great, but okay. My car is greenish silver right now due to the coating of pollen on it.

I was home Tuesday and Wednesay my allergies were so bad... that constant sneezing and the boogers just flying out of my nose. A friend came over to drop something off. Before I opened the door, I blew my nose. By the time i opened it boogers were dripping past my mouth... my friend was appalled.

Today, heavily medicated, I am at work. Boy can't wait for the season to be over!!!

PS this is actually not a bad year for me.... one plus for California's drought - no flowers or grasses to bloom and send out pollen. RIght now, I am only being affected by tree pollen.

If someone has a cure all for the boogers, please, let me know!

Remember last year when we went over 10K pollen count? I ate about half a box of Benadryl....still couldn't breathe.

yep, the stuff you see is pine pollen. Too big to cause allergy problems. It's the stuff you can't see that has everyone sneezing their brains out.

Sheesh people, we've only had 2 days of non-winter weather. Allergy season won't start for another month and a half.

I started using Clariton last year. It really helped as nothing else will.

Never had a problem with allergies until I moved to Texas. Starting in September and getting progressively worse until February, my eyes would water, nose would get stuffy, and sneezing. I took Claritin and Zrytec but those didn't do much by January when my eyes felt like sand was being poured on them.

Then I heard someone say try local, unfiltered honey. Gave that a try. After a year, my allergies were greatly reduced. Not completely gone but a whole lot better. I'll still take a Claratin if symptoms reappear but that isn't often (windy days, mowing the lawn, or knocking dust off a ceiling fan will do it). YMMV but I highly recommend it.
Flying a jet is no different than riding a bicycle. It's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.

Cedar was my kryptonite after we moved to Austin. As the cedar pollen counts rose each winter, my symptoms would worsen. Around here, people call it "cedar fever" because you can actually feel like you're running a fever, along with itchy eyes, runny nose, etc. A local pharmacy sold me a liquid that had pollen from the weeds, grasses and trees in the area. Three times a day I put a few drops under my tongue and after a season or two of doing that, my sensitivity to cedar is way down. I felt it a little on a ride I did on the day all the trees decided to release their pollen back in February...it was wild as hillsides literally looked like they were on fire as the trees released their pollen. I sneezed and my eyes itched some but I was fine the next day. One guy on the ride couldn't ride the next day because his eyes were swollen shut.

I have moderate seasonal allergies. Through to mid-Summer, seems I am a continuous snot factory.

However. Winter has been too f'ing long. Things are still nowhere near in bloom here in Southern Maine. It's still sugaring season, for f's sake.

Bring on the warm and resulting allergies, already!

found a cure! Someone suggested NASOCORT... tried it - allergy symptom free since. Don't even have to use it every day. If I feel a sniffle coming on, use it and sniffles gone... IT'S A MIRACLE!!!!! I am not kidding... BEST THING EVER!
