I think if you give it enough time, you will be pleasantly surprised how good black coffee actually is! Right on for you with quitting the soda though!

I made the switch to no sugar in my coffee 3 years back, and I honestly don't miss it. I do appreciate better coffee now.

I don't drink a lot of soda/pop. When I do, Coke zero is fine.

LoL too true! I often have to remind myself to drink water.. the bike passion has gotten me quite into drinking sports drinks and it's very easy to fall into the habit of drinking them like our Windy used to drink pop.

FB4K - This December, 2014, 5288 kids received bikes for Christmas. For many, it was their first bike, ever. Every bike, new and used, was donated, built, cleaned and repaired. That amounts to well over 10,000 volunteer hours this fall, just in the Twin Cities. Check us out on FaceBook: FB4K.
Disclaimer: 99% of what I know about cycling I learned on BF. That would make, ummm, 1% experience. And a lot of posts.

It is an acquired taste, but I like my coffee like I like my women, cold, dark and bitter.

I have never had a bass ask me if the lure made it's fins look big. Just saying.

Try mixing it with 3X club soda. You get the sweet taste and the fizz with 75% less calories.

Just stay away from the purple drank

Sounds like you are experiencing what I did when I kicked Pepsi, that below the soda cravings, there is a deeper craving for sugar.

90% of the time I drink black coffee, as when I first started drinking coffee I could not find how much cream and sugar tasted right. I have two cups of coffee a day, 2-3 glasses of tea, and water. I drink maybe 4 cans of soda a week, split between coke, caffeine free coke, and coke zero.
