Booting Linux of USB Drive *AND* run some Windows Applications on it

To be specific, I want to boot of the USB Drive and run Minecraft 1.7.9

I tried to prepare a thumbdrive using "LiLi USB Creator" and an Ubuntu distro. It works, yes, but it takes forever to load and when it finally does, it takes me through an ubuntu instalation every single time. I haven't tried Minecraft tho, which I assume it should run because it's java, but I might still need to have some kind of Windows compatibility tool...

Please help, I'm rusty on this.

Do it the easy-peasey way and just dual boot the machine with one partition Windows and one partition Linux. Ten you don't have top constantly reinstall all the time. This is assuming you have the HD space available. Thaqt way you don't have to create a bootable "live" stick or disc, either and can have the best of both worlds.
