Anyone play the lottery?

.
.
.
I buy a scratcher from the machine when I get groceries at Publix, and a powerball when it's over 100 mill.

Soooooooooooo...

Yesterday, I put my $3 in the machine, hit the button, and...

"Sold out".

Dang. Well, I'll get my money back...

"Machine does not dispense change".

Well, shoot. What else is $3? Nothing!

This is total b.s.! ; this is....

Wait a minute; 2 + 1 = 3 (It's so crazy it just might work...);

o.k., I'll get two tickets.

$2 ticket--scratch, scratch-- $2 winner. Cool.
.

.
$1 ticket--scratch, scratch--wtf?

Sidenote: I rode my motorcycle down the backroads to Orlando to cash the ticket.
Previously unknown to me is the fact that
half-way between my home and Orlando
is the small town of...

Go ahead and crack wise if you must. But, please, don't make my town the bu++ of your jokes. I mean, Orlando stinks, but Viera is new, clean and fresh like a summer breeze. I guess Taintsville is somewhere in between.

I play the lottery by never participating and letting other people lighten my tax burden when they purchase tickets.

But congratulations on your big win!

You make a good point, there, Debbie Downer.

2 or 3 tickets a week, mostly losers and a few 2 and 5 dollar winners, for 20 years, off and on. I'm sure I'm still in the tank overall, but square for the last five years, maybe. The ultimate kick in the Taintsville is that the government wants a cut when you finally get back part of what you piddled away.

For this week, though, +$2998, pending the return on my $1 stake in the 'mega millions' draw tonight.

i read it once. good story.

blackjack provides much better odds. basic strategy is easy to learn. thereafter, the game's like flipping a quarter.

I'm a believer in luck.

Mostly luck is being prepared for losing as I see it.

When I have strived to hit bottom historically, luck brought me back.

My luck makes me think life is but a dream the way I escape.

luck is basically chance. chance is probability. probability exists.

i believe in patterns in the universe, as described in the film, 'pi.' this is the way i won $10k one year playing bj: follow the patterns.

but, the next year, i lost it all. i basically quit playing after that.

texas hold 'em is my game now.

I can't help myself I play the lottery. Good work to the OP on his score. You're lucky you didn't get a $3,000 dollar "speeding ticket" driving through a small town in FL.
