First let me assure you that I plan on seeing my Primary Care ASAP (but he is taking vacation next week- contemplating paying for the new patient fee if I can find someone else who can hopefully get me in Tuesday).
The problem is my left knee. I've noticed that it has been sore the last couple of weeks, but nothing of great concern... until yesterday. I started out yesterday in minor discomfort (w/minor limp), but still went for a 3 mile walk. Last night, it decided that it doesn't want to bend without considerable pain.
I can put weight on it. I'd put it at a 3 on the pain meter while standing, goes up to 7 getting in and out of a chair, 8.75 when making the transition from standing to laying down and then back up, and a throbbing 5 while in bed. I'm also experiencing minor nausea (which I attribute to the pain).
I decided not to go on my usual walk today, but did walk up to the store. I typically cover the distance to the store in about 6 minutes- it took me 30 just to make it home .
What really sucks is that we are supposed to go car shopping tomorrow and the thought of crawling into and out of a bunch of sedans makes me cringe...
