I tried vaping for a while. It was great while it lasted, but as soon as something really stressful happened, I went back to cigarettes (filterless RYO in my case).
When I finally quit smoking using nicotine lozenges, vaping helped me work through parts of the psychological addiction. For the first few months, I vaped every morning, and if I really started to crave a cigarette, I'd use it as an alternative. Eventually the habit was completely broken, and breathing in nicotine wasn't much fun. Now the e-cigs just sit in a drawer.
