Watching Godzilla (2014) (SPOILERS)

Anyone see it yet?
I am watching it right now at home and i am disappointed..
I WANT MORE GODZILLA..
So far its been nothing but softcore military porn.
And i wanted more Brien Cranson...
He did not make it.
I want more monster fighting..
What did you think?

Whaddayawant? Honolulu, Las Vegas, SF, all getting rampaged upon by ever bigger monsters. Plenty of rampage.

Setup for a new series of Godzilla flicks.

Compares favorably to original Godzilla flicks, because they weren't all that good, either.

If you can get over the bad acting, script, plot, and story inconsistencies/total disbelief, it's a perfectly entertaining monster movie.

So you are watching a newly released film right from the comfort of your own home?

Interesting indeed.

On another note: the movie sucked balls, big time.

Go at noon, during a weekday. No crowds, you will have the theatre all to yourself.

BTW, bring your own snacks.

I didn't like the new Godzilla much but it was Oscar worthy compared to Pacific Rim IMO.

Lol at downloading movies being better than seeing them on the big screen.

Saw it yesterday and enjoyed it. It was softcore military porn, but so many movies these days are - just like Transformers should have been about, you know, Transformers, but instead we got 3 movies with horrible casts and cringe-worthy dialogue and far too little GIANT ROBOTS FIGHTING EACH OTHER.

This Godzilla was pretty good though, it definitely needed more monster on monster action, but at least there was some half-way decent backstory that took up the rest of the screen time. The effects were great, and the script was bearable. Godzilla looked decent, albeit a little on the husky side...

I also liked the idea that mankind didn't create him with out nature destroying nuclear tests, but instead that he was a leftover from a time before the dinosaurs. That was a neat twist.

I grew up watching Godzilla movies - the cheesy ones from Toho, and loved them. I enjoyed Godzilla 2000, which was a Toho movie with a guy in the suit. It was cheesy, but it was amazing compared to that abortion of a movie with Matthews Broderick from 1998.

I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars.

and long live Jet Jaguar!

Good grief...we have finally agreed on something.

Godzilla 2014 sucked balls, big time. Pacific rim was far better.

In fact this Godzilla was so bad, that I would much prefer to watch Godzilla 1998...in fact I'd rather watch any of the Raymond Burr versions (as newspaper reporter Steve Martin) than this overly computerized piece of junk.

The cheesy ending was too much to take!

I thought it was alright, although it would've been nice to have had more action in the movie, and less storyline. Cloverfield was the monster movie that was really able to capture a good story and intense action under one package. That's pretty hard to do in my opinion.

how did you watch the movie with your computer?

I didn't like pacific rim that much. I couldn't get past that two minds must think like one bull****. just fight the damn monsters.. And the physics... it don't make sense... You can't use a cargo ship as a weapon. That thing would collapse under its own weight as soon as you pick it up. And with all the world class technology that allows you to build anything you want, the world decides to build ONE giant robot that only a handful of people can operate. gimme a break
