Since Rock & Roll is a euphemism for "sex" then I doubt that ANYONE has forgotten. As much as I like Fleetwood Mac I would classify them as pop to be honest.

This is Rock & Roll, Women in Uniform,

I do. As much as I love rock and roll, I still love to dance those new dances with the hip hop! But I obsessed over Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac, Pat Benatar, The Kinks, the Pretenders.... Van Halen (NOT Van Hagar!), Pink Floyd, ACDC, Aerosmith, Zeppelin (remember when they'd do the "Get the Lead Out" on the radio?), Kiss, Rush (OMG, Tom Sawyer is the Best!), the Who, Steely Dan (I totally obsessed over "Peg" and "Aja"), the Doors, and one of the bands I go totally APE crazy for still- Jethro Tull! I could sit down and toke all day to Tull. But then, I had a total punk rock phase, followed by the 80s and 90s rap (Kool Moe Dee and Public Enemy for starters), followed by a Madonna phase..... I have morphed out of Rock and Roll, but I still like to go back there every now and again, close the door, lay in the bed, close my eyes, and remember the good times!

Love the girls who can rock out and my favorite is Emily Haines of Metric. She's really got it all... smart, cool, talented, pretty and indepedent. Her dad was avant garde poet Paul Haines who wrote a lot of jazz music lyrics. There's rumors she's had some substance abuse issues, but that's such a part of R&R.

Check out her stage presence on this 2 part concert video. She has fallen down earlier in the show and you can see she's kind of buzzed, but she totally pulls off a great ending.

Since Rock & Roll is full of euphemisms and innuendo I thought that this would fit the bill. Damn fine rockers.

Australia must have the record for most good rock bands per capita. I really liked the HooDoo Gurus back in their day. They didn't have the success Midnight Oil, INXS, AC/DC, Jet, M at W, and others have had here in the US. Here's a newer good Aussie group:

How about the UK? They've had the Beatles, Queen, the Who, UFO, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Michael Schenker Group, and best of all... the Rolling Stones.
