That's a classic! I always wave when I see another two-wheeler, even cops and bicycles.

I don't usually know if they wave back since I don't really pay attention.

The unused edge of the tire tread. Caused by not leaning the bike over as far as possible while cornering.

Metzller uses elephants on that area of their tires, but I've never heard them referred to as elephant strips.

Now, mind you, I live in the flats for the last few years.

But when I had descents to run my HPV down I counter steered like a thief.

Those injection tips never lasted long then. Nowadays I can't get rid of them so I understand.
