That OP is the definition of psychedelic.

proto stuff

Got to see this guy in Dallas just a few months before this. His opening band was "Chicago" (Then known as Chicago Transit Authority). He had a wall of Marshall Amps that just buzzed as soon as he plugged in.

Alrighty, then.

Here's Captain Beefheart on the beach at Cannes in 1968 performing "Electricity" and "So 'nuf Do" with Ry Cooder on guitar.

The Iron Butterfly totally brings me back to my Junior high dances. I think that was all the band could play.

Vanilla Fudge. You just keep me Hangin' on. Uh, how many members here are old enough to remember hearing this on
an AM radio? (Cbad, I suspect...)

Oh I remember it alright along with 4 & 8 track tape players.

Some of the style from the sixties. Although the band was said not to do drugs in concert.

Some of the style in the eighties. From the Album "Shut Up and Play Yer Guitar"

Based of a book about the effects of drugs (I think it was LSD) on the different Hemispheres of the brain, I have to post this one. Like them or hate them (lets not make that the point here), brilliant artists.

This is one of the best movie rendetions of a acid trip from Taking Woodstock. I was hoping to find it on YouTube, but the one there wasn't in english and was too dark. You'll probably have to click on this link to see the clip. It has trippy song by Love to go with the video.
