Judas Priest

Their new cd rocks. Thank God for rock. Or maybe thank Lucifer for metal. Whatever; it's cool to hear some headbanging metal with screaming guitars. I'm showing my age, aren't I? Oh well, it still rocks.

I wonder how many macho metalheads know that the lead singer of Judas Priest is a homosexual. If you're a European rocker, it's a law that you must at least be bi.

I think everyone knows Halford is gay, it's part of why he left the band for so long.

That and he's in gay pride parades all the time.

Judas Priest, simply the best metal there is.
To be honest, I haven't heard their new album, but since Rob is back, I expect it's pretty damn good!
Saw them live in Copenhagen in 1998, but that was during the "Ripper" Owens days.
Still was a blast, and Tim wasn't at all bad. I stood in the middle of the place, right behind the sound/lighting guys, so I had a clear view forward, and in the perfect spot as far as sound was concerned. Just awesome!!!

Ah yes... I grew up listening to Judas Priest.. Despite growing up in the middle of nowhere in Nebraska.. Still have my original "Screaming for Vengeance" (LP) and now CD..
Whats everyones favorite Priest guitar solo? I love the solo on "Turbo lover" especially the end of it with the "Scratching" type sound /effect. Awesome! what is that sound anyway? It rules...

Best guitar solo...
Hmm, I'd say it's a tie between four:
1. One shot at glory (esp. KK's first half of it!)
2. Painkiller
3. Ram it down
4. Run of the mill (quite different from the rest, but very smooth and contemplative)
