The best looking car, design-wise, I've ever owned has to be a 2000 Mercury Cougar. The lines flowed on it beautifully. The seams between parts were made to look like part of the design. It was gorgeous.

1996 Chevrolet Corsica. It sucks, but I love it. My friends and I have been considering painting it like the General Lee form the Dukes of Hazzard, now that would be awesome.

'93 twin cam integra. i have a newer body style('00) integra now, but i still own the '93. i like it so much because it still has pretty contemporary styling. just a an all-around good-looking no-nonsense car. and the motor is super peppy!

Either 1966 VW Campmobile or 1993 VW Corrado SLC. Worlds apart, but each was fun in it's own way.

That would be my 1967 Jeepster Commando. It was stock as a rock, and totally classy. Real mountain goat too! Loved the sound of the buick V-6, except at highway speeds when you couldn't hear the radio for all the racket.

The Ford XR3 (a sported-up Escort) I had when I was in Germany. I think they were converting it to a rally car, because it had a 6-point rollcage and racing leather aftermarket steering wheel (the rollcage is really why I bought it). Just had a normally aspirated 1.6 liter engine, but would do 132 mph on the Autobahn. Only fun car I've ever had.
Oh yeah, and it had a custom candy apple red paint job.

3 way tie for me (I've had 25+ cars, so it's not an easy decision).

--- '79 Alfa Romeo Sprint Veloce hardtop coupe. Dual twin overhead cams, 4 wheel disc brakes, fuel injected, leather and wood all over the interior.

    --- '77 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40. A tank, simply a tank.

--- '66 Plymouth Belvedere. 440 cubic inches of Mopar blood and guts under the hood, boxy, black and ugly. Richard Petty would be proud.

67 ,...maybe it was a 69...Dodge Charger (has to be Green)
    81 Trans-am - midnight blue

I have never owned a car these are just cars that would interest me. Mostly because they are adult sized and I fit my legs under the wheel. Todays cars are made for skinny midgets. Not 6'5 linemen haha

That's the one! I had it for five or six years and got tired of the upkeep and sold it.

I had a gaggle of friends in it at the beach once (we were about 18 or 19 yrs old) and someone forgot to properly close the side doors and it just so happened the pop-up top was not latched either. Hit a bump and the side doors when FWOOOM! then the pop-up top went up SWOOOSH! Like to died from laughter...

It only made it to one Dead concert. 1983, I think, in Charlotte. What a stereotype, eh?

Thanks there are others but all of them are 60's, 70's and early 80's. Todays cars are pretty lame/tame. I want to feel the 4 barrels open up and just scream when I push on the gas. (I love hearing the gas actually flow into the engine)...Oh and 60 series tires, car so low it can scrape the ground, steel frame...oh ya...An engine that looks and feels like an engine, not a mobile server room. Wide wheelbase so you can take 90 degree turns at speed....oh man that makes me wanna drive.

Problem is, I am enviro friendly so I don't want a car that uses gas like that (and a tiny japanese sports car isn't going to cut it) and speed+me=too many tickets (If Iwas ever to drive)...so I just avoid cars. (besides the costs and maintenance issues with cars in general...haha)

I hold no loyalty to any brands either. I just like cars that have sex appeal. They look and feel like want to drive fast.

.....10k mile valve adjustments, port/polish the head, constant replacement of t/o bearings, cut down bushings to suck up corners.....

Worked for the Alfa dealer when I was in high school. Loved these cars. Had a '77 Spider Niki Lauda, red. Calloway twin turbos, roll bar which proved useful later, completely reworked the suspension, BBS three piece modulars. Sweet.

BUT MY FAVORITE CAR....'89 BMW M6. Could cry every time I think about why I sold it. Absolutely timeless body style, Still today it's a great ride, if you can find one. Pristine, owned it for 10 years, still only had 36K miles on it. Sleeper it was. To this day, the best gearing I've ever felt in a transmission. And this car had eyes... I never felt so beautiful as when I drove it. I've yet to meet a man who can excite me the way that this car did.

Heh, a 98 Mercury Mystique. It was my first, my only, and is my current car. It's been good, I chose it because it actually had enough leg room for me.
