My wife just picked up some Sapphire and tonic on Saturday. She likes hers dirty with about 10 olives in there.

The Young's is great stuff, but I can't really handle too much of it. Little sweet for me.

i personally like a well made margarita. i'm not talking about some fluff strawberry blended drink you get at TGI Friday's... i'm talking about good tequila like Don Julio, lots of fresh lime and top shelf triple sec. it's supposed to be a real drink, ya know?!

my wife drinks dirty martinis with plent 'o' olives, too, but she switched from vodka to gin a couple of years ago. vodka martinis are NOT MARTINIS!!!

Wish I could do olives; I just can't. I do Gimlets{1** and the like instead. When I'm feeling really Rat Pack, I'll do a Manhattan. And there's no way I could drink Young's all night. After a couple I'm craving something like a Miller High Life

Want entertainment? Here's a quick barometer to determine if a new bar is worth returning to: Order a Gimlet. If the bartender's face wrinkles up in confusion, a) order something else (even if you explain it, the drink will be ruined) and b) don't return....

{1** A Gimlet is a martini using a lime instead of an olive. A good one involves just a couple drops of Rose's Lime and a lime to garnish.

I've found that for G&T, regular bombay is fine. if you're gonna soil the gin with tonic & fruit, why pay extra for the sapphire?

*note* this logic does not apply such that one should consider Gordon's or Tanqueray instead of Bombay

Hmm, I didn't realize there was a sub-Sapphire Bombay. Not a gin drinker myself.
