Since there was already a "My Dog" thread I figured there should be a actual thread for the cat people.
This is Rajh:

Look the other way furball.

Sorry I guess the flash was a bit bright.

Now for a relaxed shot:

He's extremely picky about cat beds. We ended up trying just about everything the pet store had before trying a a wicker laundry basket and a pet cushion. Who knew?
Of course he's not so finicky when it comes to cardboard boxes, except for the fact that he chews on the corners.....

My cats also love cardboard boxes. And they too love to chew on the corners. But more than anything else, they love bags and luggage.

Cocoa's in the backpack and Toffee is interested in my camera.

Stowaway!

They also love everything to do with laundry... clean or dirty. And unfortunately, Cocoa being the more mischievous one of the two, took a liking to the washing machine too. I had to ween her off of that habit.

I'm gonna whup yer butt if you don't get that camera out of my face!

My scratchpad!
Yes I realize the Anubis is a jackal headed Egyption god neither of us named him and the name stuck. It's kind of fitting actually.....

The big black one is Syd who I got from a rescue orgnization and the little
alien one is Zoe who I found trapped under a pile of skids at my job about an hour away
from freezing to death. I love cats ! I would like to get a crippled Tiger or other big cat
but that is not going over well with my wife

Both of ours were walk-ins. We opened the door and they walked in. They chose us. Rajh (The Maine Coon) likes to "talk". I'll imitate him and we'll have "conversations" about what I don't know but it sounds good to him I guess. It's sort of a bonding thing with him I suppose

I'll see if I can get my cats to sit still long enough for a picture. We have 3 in the house now. Garfield and Spazz are brother and sister and Tiger. I rescued Tiger and his sister, Little Bit, from the side of the road a few years ago. Unfortuantely Lil Bit was hit by a car a year ago and is no longer with us.

Even though I got Syd from a rescue he picked me too....its too long to go into here but he saw me coming. I think he is a lot Maine Coon too.......He doesnt have six toes but his feet are HUGE and there is a lot of furr between the padding. His coat is very thick and he has tufted ears. Like yours he can carry on a conversation in a real deep voice. He is very smart and has almost human affectations.

The calico is Arianna (wife's cat), the tabby is Lorenzo (mine), the siamese is Lance (mine). Lance & Arianna don't get along, so this pic is a rare sight.

Lorenzo & Lance love cardboard boxes (and paper bags).

Lorenzo loves confined spaces. This is him in a recycling bin.

Lance will sit up and bathe.

All 3 cats love me, Lorenzo only tolerates my wife, and then only when she gives him Pounce. Lance is my baby. He follows me around like a puppy.

This is going to sound cold, but we're waiting for them all to die. Don't get me wrong, we love our cats, they're our children. We want a pair of cats that are 'ours' instead of 'mine' and 'hers'. Lance is 14, Lorenzo 13 and Arianna 9. With our luck, Lance will live to be 37, just to piss us off. When all 3 are gone, we'll get two males, we even have names picked out: Jackson and either Nigel or Superfly. We don't want females because every female either of us have had always end up having urination issues, as in they pee everywhere except the litterbox.

I'll post a pic of my cat in an hour or two. My cat is a Pixie-Bob which I went out and bought with my own money. Her name is Doobie and she is very paranoid. But she follows me everywhere.

That's funny, 'cause I have this problem mostly with the males. Danelectro has been banished to the out of doors as a result. Sasha is our indoor cat, Dano and Sasha are brother and sister. We had to put Bunny down this year when his kidneys failed at age 17. My favorite thing about them is taking them for walks around the block - they like this and actually ask for it. Before I stopped drinking beer, Dano would share with me from the bottle.

All 3 of ours love McDonald's french fries, Lance will eat Tempeh and avacado, Arianna loves popcorn but won't eat cat treats.

This is how I usually find Lorenzo sleeping:

Six toes (polydactyl) isn't a common Maine Coon trait so it's entirely possible that your's is in fact a Coon.
http://www.fanciers.com/breed-faqs/m...n-faq.html#FAQ
Quote:
"But I thought Maine Coons had extra toes...?"
Some "original" Maine Coons were polydactyls (had extra toes). However, modern purebred Maine Coons are rarely polydactyls. This is because all cat associations automatically disqualify polydactyls from competition in the purebred classes. Because of this, most polydactyls were culled from the Maine Coon breed decades ago, and only a few breeders continue to work with them. Since the polydactyl gene is dominant, you can't get a polydactyl kitten unless at least one of the parents is also a polydactyl.

Organic catnip will do that. Actually The flash got him in the second photo, and he was half asleep in the third.
