BostonFixed 04-15-05 07:02 PM

I give this thread 1 w00t!

MediaCreations 04-15-05 07:10 PM

Nice to hear from someone who doesn't ditch their bike in favour of a car the moment they get a license. :)

Shifty 04-15-05 07:49 PM

Way to go Dirtjump, be careful!

arboc! 04-15-05 08:05 PM

i will not quit biking i swear

operator 04-15-05 08:13 PM

It'll be more super cool when you pay for gas and the insurance.

Guest 04-15-05 08:43 PM

Well, don't run anyone down. Make sure you have insurance. And watch for other cyclists on the road.

Congrats.

I hate you and your license. I envy you. I want my license so bad. But I am 14...so its kinda hard to get one. Good luck man.

I haven't owned a car for more than half your life.

anthonaut 04-15-05 11:31 PM

I got my licence (learners) but i want my Ps (Where I dont need a fully licenced driver in the car wiht me). That way i will never miss a race again because i cant get a lift!

MadMan2k 04-16-05 01:01 AM

Congrats P1!

I probably get at least my learner's permit when I turn 16 in august, but there's not much point until I can both drive without a licensed person in the car, and have my own car/truck to do so in.

Do you already have a vehicle of your own?

Man how long have you been waiting to say that?

hi565 04-16-05 08:07 AM

The only reason I hate you dirtjump, is the fact that the driving age in MAss, changed to 17y.o.!!!!

Any way i prob wont even drive a car most of the time, Ill be on meh bike. Panniers HERE I COME! :)

forum*rider 04-16-05 08:13 AM

Didn't the driving age change to 18y.o. if you were born after 89?

Anyway, congrats dirtjump! I could take my classes, but I'm in no hurry so I'll take them over summer break.

Nowhere for me to drive to anyway...

i hope your not referring to me and my license thread, im still riding my bike plenty after getting my license....just not to school :)

ultra-g 04-17-05 06:02 PM

I got my license at age 27.

I've driven 1 time since then.

What a waste of $600 to take lessons and the DMV test.

arboc! 04-17-05 07:42 PM

wow 600 bucks, i think mine was 200

trekkie820 04-17-05 09:36 PM

I hate driving. It has become such a chore. Unless I'm driving my girlfriend's Mustang convertable...:D

ultra-g 04-17-05 09:50 PM

I failed my first road test... had to take more lessons and retest at the DMV.

I was supposed to buy a car with my fiancée, but we broke up 2 weeks after I got my license. (That's when I got into cycling actually... to get over being dumped)
