    Cancel a Post

How do I cancel a duplicate post? I used to be able to find it, but now I just can't.

Maybe it's old age (a good excuse).

You can delete a post by using the edit function. In the case of a duplicate post, removing one will not affect the other. Or simply report the offending post and a Mod will pull it for you.

I can't find the remove function in the edit form.....

Once you hit "Edit Post", you should see a "Reason for editing:" field below the post, and then under that you should find "Save" "Go Advanced" "Delete" and "Cancel".

It was the original post in a string, and there is no delete.

Can you post a screen shot of what you see when you try to edit your first post in this thread, for example? When I go to edit mode there, I see the delete button, but then again I'm a mod. Back in the days of yore members couldn't delete their own starting post of a thread if the thread had any replies to it, but that was changed somewhere along the line I believe. It should be possible now.
