Forum Bug- Problems Typing
Is anyone else having problems typing?
I was having problems on my laptop at home- I kind of figured it was my laptop, now I'm having trouble on a desktop.
It's like the forum software is trying to do something- as you're typing the screen will sort of flicker, and the characters you type don't type, to include spaces.
I didn't have problems typing this message, but the reply I just posted was difficult.
Now that I'm thinking of it- it seems to have coincided with the change with the "Notifications" alert in the upper right corner from being yellow to showing as highlighted.

No relationship to the notifications. I had the same problem yesterday. in fact, I tried to post a picture in a reply but didn't get a response. The only way to add one was to close the message and edit it. Then the picture posted.

Yesterday, I wasn't able to start a new line of text because this forum wouldn't recognize me pressing the 'enter' button. It worked in Word, it worked in Outlook, it worked on other sites, but not here.
I just chalk any quirks in reading and posting on this site to it having...personality. Its tempermental, that's for sure.

There was a thread about this a few days ago. It got moved.
I have problems of this kind sometimes, but I haven't noticed them on this site in particular.

I tried 3 times to add a picture in a post. Failed each time. I finally gave up on the post altogether!

I started that other thread, after no longer being able to type messages without 25% dropped characters, LOL.
Ad Icould ot add image, either. Obviously the problem persists, since I am typin this correctly and this is the result.
Still complte crp using IE.
Haha, fix that spell chec.
EDIT, notice how the first line of text types perfectly, as does this EDIT line, apparently!
A second line here also seems to be able to upload characters and not get bogged down, so any message I want to include in any thread must be typed using the EDIT box here.
Weird, weird software that can't handle IE and Windows 8. And from a near billion-dollar company no less!

This problem occurs from time to time on other vB4 sites I'm a member of and I know of this two currently experiencing it for some.
Since I am using IE 11 and Windows 7 like most of the people with the problem I have to figure on incomplete updating as I get much the same one as you.

It also happens with attempting to use the picture insert or smilie insert tools- I can paste a link into the box, but when I click "OK" it "flips"
I almost exclusively post in C&V.
I'm a supporting member, so the ads aren't blocking or overclocking something.
I think 25% is underestimating the dropped characters.
What updates were pushed last week? Something WAS done- the notification field changed. That's when I started having problems.

I'm unable to post with Ctrl+V.
If I highlight something- the highlighted area blinks.
Should I submit a video of this?
This is so frustrating, it's bordering on unusable.

Yep, having a similar problems. It's like the keys don't work half the time and the spell is too quick to respond.

Also the cursor is real jittery. (this line was corrected) Using Internet explorer 11 on Windows 10

My issues are only on IE 11 running on Win 7.
For whatever it's worth- I thought I had a sticking key, but it's on two different workstations.
I could shoot you a video of what it does if you're not replicating it.
Thank you for your attention into this.
